Team Up! Against Cancer is a non-profit, faith based cancer support organization teaming up cancer survivors and their families with cancer patients and their families.

In early 2006 after reflecting on my life and the many blessings I have received, including the complete remission from a 5 year battle with late stage 4 cancer, I felt a deep desire to give back to others who were facing the challenge of cancer. In July of 2006 we started Team Up! Against Cancer and began visiting cancer patients in clinics and doctor’s offices in the greater Phoenix area. We gave our testimony, offered encouragement, helped patients connect with support networks, suggested reading material, and provided data on websites of interest to cancer patients. We also established a prayer network of over 18,000 prayer warriors around the world praying 24/7 and we place every cancer patient we come into contact with on that prayer list. We now offer information packets for Patients, their Families and for cancer Survivors.

The second phase of our mission is to “team up” a cancer patient of the same gender and age group with a survivor of the same type of cancer as that of the patient ... sort of a Team Up! “Buddy.” We also “team up” the family of the patient with the family of the survivor because they also are going through challenges of cancer. We plan for continued growth and expansion of Team Up! as the need demands.
